Overview

The Instructional Techniques workshop is a 3-hour practical training workshop that supports instructors to develop their instructional skills. Through practical learning, candidates will focus on delivering Level 2 outcomes and practicing different techniques in a safe learning environment.

What skills do I need?

A basic ability in riding a bicycle, awareness of the Bikeability Scotland Level 1 and Level 2 training outcomes and currently hold a CTA or CT certificate.


How long does it take?

3 hours


What will I need?

You will need access to a bicycle, appropriate clothing for the prevailing weather conditions, and you are encouraged to bring a notepad and pen.


What will it cost?

This workshop is free for anyone delivering Bikeability Scotland training as a volunteer and has authorisation from their Local Authority coordinator.


What's next?

Following completion of this workshop, instructors may wish to complete some of the other Bikeability Scotland CPD modules or other Cycling Scotland Training courses.
