Community groups across Scotland can apply for a number of funding streams and support programmes throughout the year to help them encourage cycling locally, all of which can help towards gaining the nationally recognised Cycle Friendly Community Award.
Cycle Friendly Community Award
Following the success of our Cycle Friendly Schools and Employer Awards (and now the introduction of a Campus Award), the Cycle Friendly Community Award is aimed at encouraging and supporting communities across Scotland to take a leading role in increasing the number of people who cycle locally.
Cycling Scotland Development Grants
Development grants of up to £20,000 are available to support and enable delivery of initiatives and projects that will lead to more communities receiving the Cycle Friendly Community Award.
The Cycle Friendly and Sustainable Communities Fund
The purpose of the Cycle Friendly and Sustainable Communities Fund (CFSCF) is to support groups to encourage cycling in their community and to deliver a sustainable cycling project.
Communities Evaluation Report
The report gives background of the fund and contains case studies of over 60 community cycling projects across Scotland that have benefited from grant funding.
