Adult Cycle Training (ACT) is the name given to the training and resources developed to support adults who would like to learn how to cycle and to cycle more as part of their everyday life. ACT course types range from Absolute beginners (teaching adults how to ride for the first time) to Advanced on-road cycling and everything in between. ACT can be delivered by Cycle Trainers who have undertaken a short (up to an hour) orientation which can be done online. This provides key information about the course, the resources, additional support, course administration and the Cycling Scotland database. An additional (up to an hour) orientation is required to deliver Family cycling ACT sessions.
You should be an experienced Cycle Trainer with an identified target audience.
This is a 2 hour orientation.
You will need internet access and a username/password for the Cycling Scotland database.
This course is free for anyone who has an identified target audience.
As an experienced Cycle Trainer you may also be interested in supporting Bikeability Scotland training within your local authority.
