The Learn to Ride Activity Leader (L2RAL) is a practical, half-day (3.5 hours) course to prepare candidates for delivery of cycling games for nursery and primary aged children. It is principally aimed at teaching staff, parents and volunteers. The training supports young riders to learn to cycle in education and community settings, with a focus on play.
Candidates must be aged 16 or over, can ride a bike, and have experience of helping nursery-aged children
This is a 3.5 hour course.
Clothes appropriate for the weather. Candidates must be able to access a bicycle in working order to complete the course.
If you are part of a group or organisation, for a group of 5-8 people, at your own venue, on a date that suits you, you can book your own bespoke course for £300.
Experienced Learn to Ride Activity Leaders can go on to become Bikeability Scotland Instructors or Cycle Trainers.
